1. Where is the CLGTI located?
The Chalimbana Local Government Training Institute is located on Nipa Road, in Chongwe. To reach the institute, one has to drive around 10 minutes outside of Chongwe to the direction Chalimbana. Here you can find the location of the institute on Goodle Maps.
2. Are the courses offered only for government workers?
The CLGTI offers a variety of different educational formats, such as Bachelor programmes with Mulungushi University, diploma courses accredited by TEVETA and a postgraduate course. In addition to these programmes that are offered on a regular-base, the institute provides demand-driven short, intensive courses. The programmes offered at CLGTI are open for everybody that fulfils the entry requirements.
3. Can the conference rooms be rented from private companies, non-governmental organisations and individual people?
The newly-build campus of the Chalimbana Local Government Training Institute includes a wide range of conference rooms that can be rented. The facilities vary by size and equipment and there will be a suitable room that matches your imagination and preferences. Anybody that has an interest in renting one or multiple rooms located in the administration building of CLGTI can do so. 4. Is the cafeteria open to the public?
The cafeteria – located in the new administration building of CLGTI – prepares local cuisine with natural ingredients. The cafeteria prepares lunch, as well as a coffee break and dinner for interested workshop guests and students. The cafeteria prepares food for workshop guests that book the catering service in advance. Individual persons not attending a conference and having no other connection with the institute are not permitted to consume the food from the cafeteria.
5. Are the accommodation rooms open to the public?
The newly-build campus of the CLGTI includes a variety of accommodations in different price categories. It is important that the institute can hosts all of its students during their residential period, however, also big conference groups have to be able to be hosted on campus. The primary target group of the CLGTI accommodation are students and conference and workshop guests. Nevertheless, the rooms are also available for other people to rent. If the capacity allows it, students attending Chalimbana University can rent a room in the CLGTI hostels as well.
