The ASA Programm goes into the second round
In an era where digital literacy is essential, an innovative exchange program between the University of Kehl in Germany and Chalimbana Local Government Training Institute (CLGTI) in Zambia is paving the way for advancements in adult education. All this is made possible through the ASA programme, a development policy learning and qualification programme that is based on elements of both global learning and education for sustainable development. Participation in the ASA programme offers a varied seminar programme, a six-month project phase, three months in Germany and three months in Zambia. The objectives of the programme are based on the United Nations’ Agenda 2030.
The first phase of the programme in 2023 brought together two participants from CLGTI in Zambia and two participants from Germany. The team worked together to establish an online learning platform called Moodle for CLGTI. Building on the foundations laid in 2023, another team of ASA participants 2024, which include two participants from CLGTI and two participants from Germany are currently working on updating new features on Moodle, as well as taking part in the creation of CLGTI’s new website.
